The Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal provides overall leadership for UBC in the Okanagan and is a member of the UBC system executive leadership team, reporting to the President and Vice-Chancellor.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal ensures an effective organizational structure that reflects operational needs and is responsible for strategic planning based on the imperatives outlined in UBC’s Next Century and campus visioning documents.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal also has responsibility to ensure the strategic allocation of resources and stewardship of those resources for a sustainable financial plan. Externally, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal works to foster effective relationships for the campus and the university at the local, national and international level.
